Encouraging the women of Street Baptist Church to reach out to others
With the pressure of singleness, then for many the pressures of home and children with the isolation that this brings, the possibility of coping as a single parent, and the joys and responsibilities of being grand-parents, many women face difficulties that are unique to women and need a particular ministry.
In order to support and encourage women in Street Baptist Church, and enable them to be built up in Christ and use every opportunity to reach out to their friends, we provide a number of activities and events that are specifically designed with women in mind.
The following pages provide details of the women’s ministries we are establishing in the church.
Everywoman
Everywoman is a group for every woman! Our vision is to equip, empower and enrich one another as together we grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus.
We come together – a group of ordinary women, to have fun, develop friendships, share, listen and encourage each other.

Ladies’ Bible Study
Many women are unable to join in a Home Group because of child-care commitments or work commitments. To provide support and fellowship for women, and to provide Bible Study on topics that are particularly important for women, we have the Ladies Bible Study. Women of all ages (if child-minding is a problem, pre-school children are welcome too) from all backgrounds, and regardless of where you are in your walk with the Lord, are very warmly welcomed and encouraged to join us at our Bible Study which takes place at 9:30am-11:00am every 1st and 3rd Tuesday (term-time only). Meetings are held at 16, Mildred Road, Walton.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 God calls all of us to walk more closely with Him. He desires that we might continually know the fullness of His Holy Spirit, and so He encourages us to be active in building one another up. He desires to feed us with His spiritual food – His Word – and so encourages us to teach one another. Our hunger for Him is only truly satisfied when we are fed by Him!
So, come on Ladies! Let’s get together and learn more about God. Let’s live for Him, encouraging one another as we learn from His Word and apply it in the ups & downs of life, and let’s allow God to lead us as we seek to live each day for Him.
