The safety of the children and young people in the church is a primary concern to us.

All our youth workers are fully CRB checked, and no-one can work with young people unless they have been CRB checked.

The church has a Child Protection Policy which all our youth workers work to.

What you need to know as a parent

Having this Child Protection policy, it is important that we apply the policy to all people.  This means that parents are not normally permitted to remain with their child during the youth activity sessions.  We trust that you will understand that this is a policy to protect your children.  We will provide opportunities for parents to see first-hand what happens within the groups during the year.

Parents responsibilities

In order to ensure safety before, during, and after the activities, we will need the following:

  • A personal information form must be completed annually for each child, giving us your contact details and doctors details.  This will be kept confidential at all times.
  • For activities beyond the church site, you will be asked to sign a form giving permission for your child to go on the trip.

In addition, it is important that parents arrange appropriate travel to and from the youth activities and are on-time to collect their children at the end of the activities.
