27th-29th July, 10AM-12PM
Kingdom Builders is the theme for our Holiday Bible Club this year – three mornings of fun, games, craft and stories as we discover more about the Master Builder himself. We will look at his plan for his kingdom and how he wants each one of us to be a part of it.
We begin the morning by teaming up with our villages, small groups with an experienced leader. Next we all meet in the Builder’s yard for a story, singing, aerobics and maybe a few jokes thrown in! Then it’s back to our villages for refreshments, a craft activity and a games session. We end the morning together in the Builder’s yard to watch a video and take part in a quiz. Of course, there are lots of opportunities to win points for our village and perhaps win a prize at the end of the week.
This is a free event but we do ask you to pre-register if you can, using the online registration form below. If you are unable to register online, you can download and print a registration form which you can bring with you on the first day. Some forms will also be available on the day if needed. One form should be completed for each child.
Where is the club held?
This year we are delighted to be back in our own church premises. We have a large, new building and still have the facilities of our old building too. The church is located in Glaston Road, Street, BA16 0AN.
Who is running the club?
The club is organised by members of Street Baptist Church. Leaders and helpers are from local churches and give their time freely to help. All adult leaders are DBS checked and many have experience of working with children regularly through their jobs or in church youth work.
Who will be looking after my child?
Children are divided into small groups, called villages, each with an adult leader who takes responsibility for the welfare of the children. Friends are allocated to the same group where possible. We have trained first aiders on site every day.
What happens?
We have a packed daily timetable! A story sets the theme of the day and this is explored further through crafts and games. We have a drink and biscuit halfway through the morning.
My child has special dietary needs and might not be able to eat the snack provided.
Please send your child with their own drink and small snack (biscuit!) in a named bag and we will keep it for them in their village.
What if my child can’t come every day?
No problem! Just let them come when they are able to.
How do I drop off and collect my child?
Children enter and exit the club through the main doors into the foyer of the new building. These are the doors in the front car park. If you are driving, we have a large car park at the rear but please be very careful when entering and exiting because there will be a lot of children around! Please make sure you are on time at 12.00 to collect your child. You will need to wait in the front car park until your child is brought to you.
I would like some further information about the club.
