In Col 3:12-17 we are presented with a wonderful picture of what the love and care of a fellowship of God's people in a local church should be like. It should involve every one of the church, without exception, in a beautiful network of love in which we are to:
This is the standard by which we are judged to be a church which is truly His church.
It is this standard that underpins all we do as we seek to love and care for one another. We expect that each person joining the fellowship to understand that SBC is not about our preferences or desires, but about God's purpose, His name and all for His glory.
Life is delineated by significant events. The day of our birth, our coming of age, the day of a wedding, the birth of a child or grandchild, the loss of a parent or loved one.
These are all poignant times. They are times of great celebration or great sadness. And they are times that can have a huge impact on each one of us.
Although the church fellowship is not only there for times such as these, yet these are time when we often need the support of the church fellowship or want to share our joy with those in the church fellowship.
In these pages you will find out more of how we can be with you in these particular times of joy or sadness, and will seek to help you find peace and joy in Jesus, our Good Shepherd, who longs to guide you through great times and difficulty and work amazing things in your life through these times.
