Women's Groups

With the pressure of singleness, then for many the pressures of home and children with the isolation that this brings, the possibility of coping as a single parent, and the joys and responsibilities of being grand-parents, many women face difficulties that are unique to women and need a particular ministry.

In order to support and encourage women in Street Baptist Church, and enable them to be built up in Christ and use every opportunity to reach out to their friends, we provide a number of activities and events that are specifically designed with women in mind.

The following pages provide details of the women's ministries we are establishing in the church.

Ladies' Brunch

It's true, isn't it, that although we Ladies are known for our ability to talk together, we're actually not that good at really getting to know one another beyond surface level.  That means we are probably also not supporting each other in prayer, encouraging one another in our faith, or helping one another in our difficulties.

Ladies Weekly Bible Study

Ladies Fellowship

The Ladies' Fellowship is one of the longest running ministries of the fellowship.

Established in the late 1940's by Mrs Hilda Kendell and the then minister's wife, Mrs Oram, it has run in much the same form since, led by a small committee.

The Ladies' Fellowship exists to provide fellowship and teaching for the older ladies within the church, as well as those who join us from other churches.
