Street Baptist Church is a family church of over 90 members with over 200 regulars over the Sunday morning services. Established nearly 200 years ago, we continue to reach out to the people of Street and mid-Somerset.
We are active locally, particularly in youth work, and also with an active Mums and Toddlers group, a Ladies Fellowship, and summer Holiday Bible Club. We long that all members would grow to know God more deeply, and provide Small Groups, mid-week ministry, seminars and one-to-one Bible Study to encourage and build one another up.
Street Baptist Church is an independent fellowship, although our Basis of Faith is that of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) and we are affiliated with the FIEC.
The pages in this area (listed below and also accessible from the menu above) are provided to give you more insight into what we believe, our vision for the future of the fellowship, and our passion for God's work in the lives of people in the fellowship and the area.

Its really important what a church stands on. We stand on the Bible as God's word and from that we identify 9 major things that are really vital for us and that will come through in all we say and do. We hope that these pages help you see the truths that we hold to. If you are confused by the terms used or worried about what we hold as important, please do talk to one of the leaders in the church to find out more.
The leadership of Street Baptist Church are pretty ordinary people who rely on God to enable them to lead the church. Find out more about them here. But don't put them on a pedestal - just continue to pray for them all.
After worshipping with us for a while, you may wish to join the fellowship as a member. These pages provide you with the information we think you will need to help you explore this decision. Please don't just read these pages, though - talk to a leader in the church about it so that we can discuss it further and pray with you.
We long that everyone who has come to know Jesus as their saviour and who is committed to the fellowship should become fully involved in the life of the fellowship. In these pages you will find details of opportunities for you to get 'stuck in' with God's work in SBC.
The church building is actually really easy to find. Just follow the details given in these pages to locate us.
